Vintage unusual unique Thomas W??? rare 1/4" wood working chisel - very old

Vintage unusual unique Thomas W??? rare 1/4" wood working chisel - very old. Condition is "Used". Found in my father in law's huge collection.  His father was a carpenter in the first part of the 1900's.  I can not find anything like this on the web.  Stamping on back is really hard to read (see photo).  My best guess the tool stamping is THOMAS W****.  The chisel looks primitive but I think original.  If you know more about the chisel please contact me.
