Vintage Starrett 18" Machinists Level with Ground and Graduated Vial Wooden Box

This level is a 98-18.
Levels have ground and graduated main vials. All levels have cross test vial.
Main vials are adjustable for positive setting and housed in a satin-chromed brass tube with friction fit closing cover to prevent breakage.
Level base are of the finest seasoned castings with black wrinkle finish, accurately machined and finished on bearing surface.
My father decided to scratch the black off and engrave his name on this one. As you can clearly see in the pictures.
I also have the 98-12 in another auction which he did NOT engrave on.
