    Vintage OVB / Stanley No. 50 EVERLASTING Chisel - 3/4" - Best Ever Made !!
    Made by Stanley for Hibbard Spencer Bartlet & Co. who sold it under their "OVB" (Our Very Best) trademark.
    Quite good condition.  No. 50.  Three quarter inch blade. PLENTY OF STEEL Remaining.  Over 2 1/2 inches left beneath the shoulders.   Total length about 7-1/4 inches.  Very hard to find, especially with this much usable steel.  Unquestionably the finest chisels Stanley ever made.  Reasonably clean but "uncleaned."  Blade will sharpen up easily.  Hammer marks on the head are about average.  There is no significant rusting, pitting, chipping or dinging - or any other consequential damage to the metal.  Dinging in the wood is  minimal.
    The chisel is marked "OVB" on the blade.  Four Stanley Everlasting patent dates along with "H S B & CO" are stamped on the shank.  The Everlasting was (sadly) discontinued in 1942.  And they are really hard to find with this much steel!  A users dream!  Buy It Now!!
