Check my other auctions for more dug relics from New Mexico. This old gauge was found while metal detecting at Camp Cody, NM, a training base for the 34th Division during WW1. After the end of WW1, the camp Cody hospital was taken over by The Sisters of the Holy Cross and turned into a sanatorium, which eventually became one of the largest in the world with 19 buildings that would house 400 patients. The company that made this gauge was founded in 1894. Front is marked "American Sterilizer Co-Sterilizer Specialists-Erie PA" and "Ashcroft NY" in a shield. It is a pressure gauge of some kind. Made of brass, and looks to have been nickel plated. Good condition other than the glass being cracked and loose, and one small dent on the side (pictured). Measures approx. 2 5/8" in diameter. Neat display item! Always glad to combine shipping if you win more than one auction. Thanks for bidding!
