A number of imperforate proofs from the early 2000's came on the market some years ago, mostly from the same person. I never got the complete story on how and where he got them, but they are authentic, probably were not authorized to be officially issued as proofs, and are quite rare. They very likely exist in only a few hundred copies each, at most.
