Please Note:
The felt pads on older cassettes, sometimes become detached during shipping. The glue dries out after so many years. I check them before shipping and occasionally have to fix one. If this happens to your cassette during shipment, it can easily be fixed in just a couple of minutes. Pull the tape up out of the way and place a very small dot of glue on the metal strip that normally supports the pad. Using tweezers or something similar, place the non-felt side of the pad on top of the glue and press down lightly. Realign the pad to the strip if it moved when you pressed down on it. Allow to thoroughly dry before playing. (
Warning:
Use metal objects only near the leader tape at the beginning of each side. Metal tools can become magnetized over time and if the recorded part of the tape is touched, the sound quality may be affected.)
