    served in the Air Force for 31 years  and finally as the last Commander MAAG, ROC, Taiwan, which ended upon U.S. President Jimmy Carter's decision to sever ties with Taiwan, in favor of Communist China! The photo of Thompson with his wife with a Chinese MiG is for continuity and is not included.
    This letter was removed from an album and would be a showpiece in any advanced collection.
