JNA YPA Yugoslav Peoples Army Geiger Counter DR-M11B Radiological Detector
The M11B radiological detector is intended for measuring the dose rate of gamma radiation and for detecting beta radiation. It is used for reconnaissance of land and facilities contaminated with radioactive substances, for determining the degree of radioactive contamination of surfaces and for controlling the execution of radiological decontamination. It measures the dose rate of gamma radiation in two measuring ranges: from 0.48 microgrey per hour to 4,800 microgrey per hour and from 0.5 centigray per hour to 480 centrifuge per hour. It is powered by 2 1.5 V batteries. Radiation is detected acoustically via the handset and the dose rate of gamma radiation via the measuring scale.
