Cold War USAEUR SMLM (Soviet Military Liaison Mission) Card

Description

This was a Cold War inspectable item for all Department of Defense personnel in Europe to have on their person at all times. Card shows what a SMLM license plate looks like, gives detailed instructions on; 1. Detaining the vehicle and occupants or 2. Reporting a sighting with full details. These were given out in volumes to GI’s and were inspected on guard mounts, in ranks inspections, and just for general purposes if your Sergeant didn’t like you!  I picked up this stack in the mid 70’s.
