    Description

    Up for Auction is a very special 1980’s era racing helmet shell that has the signatures of 22 of the 33 race car drivers of the 1989 Indianapolis 500.  The signatures include 5 Indy race winners including the 1989 winner Emerson Fittapaldi.  This piece displays well.
    This Bell helmet comes from a local, avid Indianapolis collector that passed away.  His personal collection comprised many vintage racing pieces including the 1978 Al Unser winning helmet.  At the estate auction, besides collectors, even the Indianapolis Speedway Museum curator attended.  This 30 year old helmet came out of that estate, and it is authentic.
