Antique Hand Forged 1 3/4" Wide Stamped Steel Chisel Wood

Description

This chisel is very very old and has a rust-proof blackened finish from forging. The stamp is so old and weathered I can't make out any words but "Co" and "Steel." Weighs about 10 oz.
Note the steel is straight but someone has made a crooked handle for it. It could be that the tang of the chisel is bent; however that could be easily fixed in a vise. The handle is still very tight, however. No damage to chisel aside from a dull edge and some pitting from age. It measures 9" from end to end.
