Historic Walt Disney Productions Memorabilia from Saturday's Toys presents...
an original album from 1963:  "Annette on Campus" (Monaural - Buena Vista Records 3320) with Annette Funicello and The Wellingtons with the All-American Chorus.
While the cover looks every bit of its six decades in storage... still, the pictures tell a thousand words... and the vinyl appears to have survived even better than the gatefold record jacket's exterior (the interior photos are great... and even include a rare photo of The Wellingtons (formerly known as "The Lincolns") and even American Bandstand's Dick Clark sits down for a photo with one of the most popular artists of that era: Annette.
Pictures Annette (and the guys!) on the campus of the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA).
The album features a variety of college cheerleader "yells"... with some classic college harmonies from The Wellingtons.
Released by Buena Vista Records for Walt Disney Productions in 1963; just as Annette hit the big time with her surprise summer hit with co-star Frankie Avalon:  "Beach Party" (1963).
Overall, the gatefold jacket's exterior is "fair" (previously reinforced with clear tape at top and bottom seams of jacket)... and the gatefold interior is "good"... while the vinyl is also "good" (or better).
As is always the case in the LP's we offer, they are not listed for their audio perfection (this one is monaural)... but for their fascinating glimpse into American culture at the mid-point of the 20th century.  Classic Annette!
